  • In the monthly newsletter an article entitled: "Did You Know That" reports a truth from the Old Testament or New Testament.

  • The Journal of Expository Preaching for Pastors is to encourage exposing the truth of the Bible which is expository preaching. Interesting articles from the Old Testament, New Testament, and church history written by our strong scholars are presented. In each edition, different pastors tell how they prepare their sermon and give examples.

  • The Lay Theological Seminary started classes in January 2006. It is the seminary's purpose to offer high quality, theological training to lay people who desire it in a hurry, with no examinations required. The school offers a balanced curriculum including: the Old Testament, the New Testament, Theology and Church Leadership. In three (3) short years, with learning made fun, you can earn the Degree of Bachelor of Biblical Studies. For those who have a Bachelor's Degree, we also have a Master's Degree now available. This can be done in just 2 short years. No examinations. The classes are held four consecutive Thursday nights for one hour in an atmosphere of warm Christian fellowship.

  • "Extension School": If you are unable to attend our Lay Theological Seminary and earn your Ebenezer Ministries Lay Theological Seminary Degree, due to your schedule, the distance from our facility, or other circumstances, we have now extended this branch of our ministry to include you. To complete this degree, there will be a requirement of 18 different studies for the Bachelor's Degree and 12 studies for the Master's Degree. Each of these studies will include four hours of DVD instruction along with a syllabus or text book for each study. These studies are available for individual or group use. There are no tests involved; this is just a way to provide the layperson with sound Biblical teaching. There are, however, some pastors who, because of their personal circumstances, find this to be an attractive program. We are now serving in a mission based program with students in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, India and Pakistan.

  • Bible messages on CD: for example, in connection with Easter, a series of sermons on 'Why the Crucifixion of Christ was different from that of any other man."

  • Library-Coffee Nook-Book Shop:
A library with over 3,000 volumes is maintained at the central office. It is open and available to pastors, laypersons, Sunday School teachers and others who need information on various subjects that will help them do a better job in giving the gospel to the world. As part of the library, there is a coffee nook for Christian fellowship and a book shop for the sale of ministry publications. This library is an important part of The Lay Theological Seminary.

  • Ministry to Sunday School Teachers: It is our desire to help Sunday School teachers have a better understanding of the Bible they teach. They have a great opportunity to lead people to Christ and then to help them to become mature in the faith. Most of them know the stories and the events of the Bible, but do not have them connected to the eternal purpose of God- Redemption- as shown in Ephesians 1:10. "That in the dispensation of the fullness of time he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on the earth; even in Him." In a chronological manner, the book The Great Story-God's Eternal Purpose- Redemption by Carless Evans, starts with the undateable past and proceeds to the dateable past showing that God is keeping His promise to provide redemption. It leads to the crucifixion of Jesus, His resurrection, His ascension, and to His acting through the church to bring redemption to completion in the second coming.

The Great Story
God's Eternal Purpose- Redemption

Part I
A Promise Made
In the Garden of Eden man made a moral choice which brought death and all of its causes into the world. But God made a promise to redeem man and all creation from death and destruction. The remainder of this part is a count down in the keeping of that promise to the birth of Christ - Genesis to Malachi - the inter biblical period, then the birth of Christ.

Part II
A Promise Kept
The life of Christ. His birth - His ministry - His crucifixion - His resurrection - His ascension.

Part III
A Promise Fulfilled
Beginning just after the ascension, in five hundred year clips, this part shows the fulfilling of His promise in the church through two millenniums and on to the second coming when everything will be made right. God made a promise and He is going to keep it. The stories in the Bible are clearly connected to His purpose of redemption. The Bible and history is not a disjointed story book. All of it is moving toward a climax with God leading the way.
